The Day Of The Dead: a good start a dull ending

two days ago i watched the day of the dead. that zombie movie.
it started well(he who had watched knows why) but proceeded so unexpectedly.there was no real suspension and the horror tended to be more Sci-fi.
by tradition zombies are slow stupid creatures (if you can call them creatures). but here zombies were so fast and furious.
the idea of how people are zombified is kind of thread bear now. the virus story is pretty old, yet interesting (not here).
we watched the day of the dead with a couple of guys and after a while horror was changed into comedy. but I'm still happy we didn't watch that teenage one.
there are some other considerable problem such as one of the final scenes in which they ignite the propulsion tanks and only zombies burn and the walls and other things around are just as they were.
or the explosion of head when the set fire on zombies by cocktail Molotov. that was THE joke. if you keep and empty spray on fire at that distance it wouldn't even get hot let alone explosion but the zombie tissue seems to be more temperature sensitive.
all in all it was a run of the mill entertaining movie but if you want to buy it think of something better instead.
